Raghad Kanaan
Raghad is a dreamer who aspires to be a fulfiller of women’s dreams. She is a project manager with over 11 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sectors, with a particular focus on refugee and marginalized women. She is the founder of the initiative Raghad for Women’s Empowerment, which aims to support women in fragile communities through economic empowerment, capacity-building, and psychological support.She is also the founder and former director of the Middle East Academy for Skills Development, which worked on enhancing the capacities of refugee and migrant women through professional training and preparation for the labor market.Raghad participated in the founding and management of the Global Refugee Network, and has led many impactful initiatives, most notably the emergency response project for the Sudan crisis with the Norwegian Refugee Council.She is active in international forums and has participated effectively through organizations such as Watan, the Global Refugee Network, and Remote Coders, advocating for women’s and refugee issues and promoting more inclusive and just policies.Her expertise includes strategic planning, crisis response, and policy development, with a strong commitment to building resilient communities and promoting the rights of women and marginalized groups.
