Maha Saleh
Ms. Maha Saleh from Cairo/Egypt, studied Political Economy at the American University in Cairo, 2002. She holds a Master degree with distinction in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University in London. She started her career at the League of Arab States followed by a European Union Project in Cairo to develop a capacity building plan for export institutions. She joined the Engineering Export Council of Egypt (an advisory body for the Minister of Trade & Industry) in 2008. During her career, she worked on several initiatives dealing with support organizations, international institutions, and business service providers. Linking exporting companies to Trade Services, Promotion Services, Financial Support Services, Training and Capacity Building Services and International Chambers, gave her extensive experience in export, trade marketing activities, investments for the purpose of exporting, government affairs and public policy. During this time the Council was shortlisted for WTPO 2020 Award for “Best Usage of Partnerships” to foster trade organized by ITC, being recognized as one of the outstanding national trade promotion bodies. She participated in developing strategies for stimulating industry and foreign trade, as well as innovation strategies for the Egyptian Industry. She succeeded in cooperating with different international and local entities for the purpose of developing the private sector share in trade. She was holding the position of the CEO for the Engineering Export Council of Egypt until April 2020 before she joins the private sector, Apple Government Affairs team in May 2020, as Head of Public Policy & Government Affairs for Egypt. Later on, her role expanded to lead Public Policy & Government Affairs for MEA at Apple until April 2024. Maha decided to move to another excitement role in May 2024 as the Head of Comms, PA and Sustainability for Talabat, a tech food delivery platform. This move adds to Maha’s international exposure and experience to deal with multinational companies and liaise with the different stakeholders of the government. She has been nominated for several political roles. She received an award for excellence & creativity among top 50 influential people in finance & business world in 2019. She was nominated for several leadership programs, by the Egyptian government through the Administrative Control Authority “for excellent leaderships in the Country” and by the US Embassy for the “International Visitors Leadership Program”. She is also among the database for the most inspiring women in the Arab Region “She is Arab”. She is part of the database prepared by “Egypt Women on Board Observatory”. And recently, been nominated as a “voice of new era of leaders”, as part of a global movement by female factors to redefine leadership to create a better world.
