Karima ElHakim

Karima is a prominent leader in tech innovation and venture acceleration across Africa and the MENA region. As the Egypt Country Director and Africa Co-Director at Plug and Play Tech Center, she supports early-stage startups—particularly in fintech and emerging markets—through corporate innovation and global acceleration programs. A fierce advocate for women’s economic empowerment and youth leadership, Karima serves on the National Council for Women’s Economic Committee and co-chairs AmCham’s Leadership and Diversity Committee. Her diverse impact extends beyond business, as she also serves as a board advisor at ESMA and co-produced the Exceptional Youth of Egypt documentary for the UN Youth Assembly.
