Gianmarco Carnovale
Gianmarco Carnovale, 48, entrepreneur, technologist and startup advocate, innovation pioneer on Rome’s scene since 90’s. In the years between 1998 and 2010 he was responsible for strategies in a venture builder, where designed and launched several companies in software, online publishing, retail, internet services, design and production of electronic devices for telco markets. Longly engaged in advocacy associations, he promotes innovation and tech-entrepreneurship as speaker at conferences, as adviser to policy makers and consultant at institutions and corporates, and as a columnist. Passionate of startup practices and venture business, of exponential organization and open innovation, since 2010 he has worked in the structuring of numerous startup accelerators. Since 2012 serves as chairman of Roma Startup, the ecosystem association which collects enablers - incubators, investors, universities, business schools, professionals – forming the venture business and innovation field in Rome; Since 2015 to 2019 he has served as member in the board of directors of Allied for Startups, the organization that groups worldwide’s startup ecosystems; He launched and supervised three editions of the Rome Startup Week festival, while helps as a mentor and advisor numerous italian startups. Co-founder and Executive Chairman at SCUTER, a tech-startup aiming to disrupt individual mobility in large cities.
