Ayman Ashour

Ayman S. Ashour is the Founder and Principal of Newton International Management, LLC., a US firm focused on global investments in technology with special focus on mobility, payment, identification and security markets since 2000.Ayman S. Ashour served as Chairman & CEO for Identive Group, which he joined in January 2010 following the combination of Bluehill ID AG and SCM Microsystems. Mr. Ashour formerly was the CEO and President of the Board of Directors of Bluehill ID, an RFID technology company that he founded in 2007. Prior to this, he was the Principal of Newton International Management, a strategy consulting firm focused on the security and identification technology industry. Mr. Ashour’s professional experience includes several other management positions within the security and identification technology industries.He has served as CEO of Assa Abloy’s Identification Technology business, where he was responsible for the worldwide development of one of the largest and most successful RFID companies. He was Divisional Managing Director of Williams Plc for the Asia Pacific region, where he was responsible for Chubb Security, Kidde & Yale brands and managed the global operations of Guardforce International and the Chubb Physical Security Group. He also served as President of Kidde Fire Fighting, Inc., Marketing Director of Kidde Plc and Senior Vice President of Kidde-Fenwal, Inc. Mr. Ashour holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer for the MBA program at the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University in Boston.Ashour is an active angel investor and is a member of the board of Cairo Angels and is also Fellow of the Chartered Institute of International Arbitrators in London, England. Ashour serves as Adjunct Lecturer at Suffolk University in Boston, MA where, since 2004, he lecturers on M&A at the Sawyer Business School for their MBA program.
