I am a first-generation immigrant and a new entrepreneur. At 14 years old, I moved to Canada with my family in search of equitable access to education, healthcare, and opportunities. I graduated from the University of Toronto specializing in genetics, and biotechnology. In 2014, while working as a graduate teaching assistant at the American University in Cairo, I launched the local version of the Hult Prize social entrepreneurship competition on campus. A year later, we expanded the competition to 37 campuses and helped establish Hult Prize Egypt. For the past five years, I have been back in Canada where I work as a Senior Customer Success Manager, helping Canadian businesses navigate the ever-changing technology landscape and unlock opportunities to scale their business. Throughout my travels and career, I learned that intelligence is equally distributed in the world, unfortunately, opportunities are not. That is why I am committed to helping remove barriers and providing resources for those much smarter than me so that they have a fair shot at building something great for themselves, their families, and the world.
