Reham Yousef
Head of Policy and Partnerships at UNDP.Reham Youssef is leading the Policy and Partnerships team at UNDP Egypt. Reham has over fifteen years of experience in public policy support and development, and has spent a considerable part of that time serving from within the Egyptian government. She has worked for more than around ten years in the Egyptian Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center, and over a year in the technical office of the Minister of Planning. She was one of the key members representing the Ministry of Planning in formulating the Egypt Vision 2030 document in 2016 and has taken part in a number of very important national reform initiatives at the time. Since 2016, she has led important work in administrative and civil service reform with the GIZ for over 2 years, followed by leading activities to promote public investment efficiency and public financial reform efforts under a USAID funded project. In her technical capacity in these projects, she has worked closely with a number of important Egyptian institutions such as the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Finance, the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, the Institute of Governance and Sustainable Development and others. She is currently leading the SDG integration portfolio at UNDP, with a focus on SDG localization, SDG monitoring and unlocking public and private investments to achieve the SDGs, but also promoting evidence-based policy making with key government partners. Reham holds a B.A in Economics from the American University in Cairo, and is currently pursuing her PhD from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences in Cairo University.
